Emergency Medicine Rotating Header Image

Welcome to the homepage for the Emergency Medicine residency training program within the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC)! We are located in warm and sunny, San Antonio, Texas at Brooke Army Medical Center.  Brooke Army Medical Center is located on Fort Sam Houston – “Home of the Combat Medic”.

BAMC currently has over 450 beds, expandable to over 650 and construction is underway for a new consolidated bed tower.  Once complete the Emergency Department will move to the new tower where the new 60-bed ED and a helicopter landing-pad will be located.

Guest rotators – Please click on the tab GUEST ROTATORS for more information.  This is where you will find information about how to setup a rotation, in-processing, applying for the residency program, etc.  This is where HPSP students can go to find out information about setting up rotations for both official and unofficial rotations and auditions.  Additionally, information for off-service rotators, USUHUS, etc. can be found there.  If you are interested in the program you can find more information about applying to the program and interviewing under the tab GUEST ROTATORS –> INTERVIEWS.

The CHIEFS CORNER is where residency-level news is posted regarding updates, etc.  Residents and current rotators please keep up to date with checking this section as it will replace much of the email-based news dissemination.
